ACADEMY HOUSE, PHILADELPHIA

In late 2016, building managers wanted to upgrade to a fully independent heating system using gas-fired, high efficiency condensing boilers and self-modulating pumps. Phase 1 of the project focused on a temporary heating system, using 2 Design Envelope pumps to supply flow to most of the building, under the control of the embedded Parallel Sensorless Pump Control unit. The two pumps were operating at 50 GPM, far below their capacity of 370 GPM, but with Parallel Sensorless Pump Control, are still very efficient, at 92.3%.

Webinar  |  The Importance of Knowing Your Flow and the Benefits of Sensorless Technology

This webinar demonstrates the pump control functions available with Design Envelope and explains the savings possibilities in different HVAC applications and system layouts. Learn how overall system performance can be improved using intelligent Design Envelope Permanent Magnet motor pumps while significantly reducing energy consumption.

We will explain how Sensorless capability and Flow measurement are used in Design Envelope control solutions and Active Performance Management, allowing optimal overall system performance and continuous energy savings through the life of equipment.
